Do you want to go out with the kids or grand kids on a bike ride? Want to learn to ride a bike but never had the chance?
Then our first steps course is for you. We deliver our training in an informal style which is designed to get you riding a bike as quickly as possible in a way that is tailored to you.
Courses offered are suitable for both children (aged 5+) and adults who have never ridden a bike before but would like to learn how. So long as you are reasonably fit we can train you.
We have experience delivering learn to ride a bike training for everyone right up to and including pensioners. Our bike lessons are designed to be fun with the emphasis on getting you riding your bike as quickly as possible.
Training takes place in a traffic free environment either in groups or on a 1:1 basis, with plenty of space so there is no need to worry about banging into things. We initially work on your balance before progressing onto using pedals. Courses are delivered by our National Standard qualified cycle instructors, and we aim to get you cycling in no time.
All you need is a bike that you can sit comfortably on with your feet flat on the floor, comfortable clothing and a helmet (optional for adults although recommended). Click the link below to book onto one of our courses or go to our shop page using the buttons at the top of this page.
As part of our complete training package we offer you the chance to up your skills during your learn to ride a bike session and take the Bikeability learn to ride course. Once you have completed your Bikeability learn to ride training and been awarded your official DfT Bikeability certificate, you will be able to:
